Lineups Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) built the Qurany mobile application (the “App”) to help users develop a focused, daily Quran habit. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use Qurany on iPhone or iPad.
By downloading or using Qurany, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described here.

1. Information We Collect

• 1.1 Personal Information You Provide
  • Account & Profile: Email address (if you choose to sign up), optional display name, age range, language preference, and reading-style preferences selected during onboarding.
  • Usage Goals & Settings: Your daily verse goal, chosen tafsir style, voice-mode preferences, and any reflections or notes you type or record.
• 1.2 Device & System Data (via iOS Screen Time)
  • Screen Time Data: Aggregate, on-device statistics about your app usage (e.g. which apps you block, total time spent in focus sessions). We never view or transmit your raw usage logs or personal browsing history.
  • Device Information: Device model, operating system version (iOS version), and App version for support and analytics.
• 1.3 Automatically Collected Technical Data
  • Crash Reports & Diagnostics: Anonymous error and performance data to help us improve the App’s stability.
  • Analytics: Aggregated statistics on feature usage (e.g. number of sessions started, average session length, reward milestones achieved) via third-party tools (e.g. Firebase, Amplitude).

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide & Improve the App: Deliver focus-lock, AI tafsir, voice control, and rewards features; diagnose and fix bugs; tailor new features based on usage patterns.
• Personalization: Generate your daily verse suggestions and tafsir style based on preferences selected during onboarding.
• Notifications: Send optional reminders to start your focus session, celebrate milestones, or announce new features.
• Customer Support: Respond to your inquiries and troubleshoot issues.
• Research & Development: Analyze aggregated usage trends to plan future improvements (always in anonymized form).

3. How We Share Your Information

• Service Providers: We may share anonymous analytics and crash data with service providers who support our App’s functionality (e.g. hosting, crash reporting); they may not use your data for any other purpose.
• Legal Requirements: We disclose personal information when required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
• Business Transfers: If Lineups Inc. merges, is acquired, or sells assets, we may transfer your information—but we will notify you before it becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

We do NOT sell, rent, or share your personal data or detailed Screen Time logs with advertisers or third parties. All sensitive data remains on your device unless you explicitly share it (e.g. export a reflection).

4. Data Retention

• Account & Profile Data: Retained as long as your account exists, plus a reasonable period afterward for backup and compliance.
• Analytics & Crash Data: Stored in anonymized, aggregated form for up to 24 months to monitor trends.
• On-Device Screen Time Data: Never uploaded—Qurany only reads and displays it securely on your device.

5. Your Controls & Choices

• Manage Notifications: Turn reminders on or off in the App’s Settings or via iOS Notification settings.
• Delete Account: Email support@qurany.app to request permanent deletion of your account and associated data.
• Cancel Subscription: Manage or cancel Qurany subscriptions at any time in your iOS Settings → Subscriptions.

6. Children’s Privacy

Qurany is intended for users age 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 13, please contact us at support@qurany.app so we can delete it.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures—encryption in transit (HTTPS), secure storage in databases, and strict access controls—to protect your personal data. However, no system is 100% secure; please use a device passcode and iCloud-Keychain to safeguard your device.

8. International Data Transfers

Lineups Inc. is based in Canada. When you use Qurany, your data (e.g. crash logs, analytics) may be stored and processed on servers in Canada or the United States. We ensure such transfers comply with applicable privacy laws.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect new features or legal requirements. If we make material changes, we will notify you via in-App notice or email before the changes take effect.
